The facial features in the area of the cheeks and the entire midface (nasolabial, hamster cheeks, and hanging soft tissues at the transition from face to neck) are tightened. In addition, thanks to the combined lift, in addition to the pure wrinkle removal and lower eyelid lift, the sunken skin fatty tissue is also raised again, which leads to a significant rejuvenation of the facial contours. In many cases, the midface lift can replace a facelift. Through the fine incision along the eyelashes of the lower eyelids, the facial skin in the cheek area is first removed and then lifted and tightened. At the same time, any fatty tissue on the cheeks that may have slipped can be modeled and repositioned on the cheekbone. Deep depressions or dark circles can often be corrected in this way. Depending on the extent, the operation is carried out under local or general anesthesia and lasts approximately one and a half hours.

Any swelling and discoloration caused by bruising in the lower eyelid and cheek area often subsides after just two to three weeks. In rare cases, the lower eyelid may pull down slightly for a certain period of time or the side of the eye may move up slightly. But don't worry: the pulling sensation will disappear within a few weeks.
