Medical needling/skin rejuvenation
As the session is minimally painful, a local anesthetic in the form of an ointment is applied before the treatment. After the treatment you will be slightly red, but by no means disfigured; instead you will have an effect that is comparable to prolonged exposure to the sun. Needling increases blood circulation. At the same time, the body's own repair mechanisms are activated by minimal injuries and additionally highly effective serums are incorporated into the deep layers of the skin. Needling tightens the skin, balances pigment irregularities, regulates sebum production and reduces scar tissue.
Since no heat is released during the treatment, needling perforates the top layers of skin without damaging the tissue. This makes medical needling a gentle and activating treatment that achieves unique success.
Especially for deep wrinkles, burns and pronounced scar tissue, we recommend treatment with 2.5 mm long needles, which we offer with anesthetic support (twilight sleep) in the operating area. This needling procedure can also be combined with other procedures.
Note
There are two types of needling:
< div>Medical needling with a needle length of 0.5 to 2 mm
Surgical needling with a needle length of 3 mm< /div>
Medical needling is mainly used for sun-damaged skin, wrinkles, superficial acne scars and for general and prophylactic skin rejuvenation. The treatment is possible using a pain-numbing cream, swelling is minimal, the redness lasts a maximum of two to three days.
In contrast In addition, treatment with the 3 mm long needles (surgical needling) is not possible without twilight sleep or anesthesia. Since the 3 mm long needles penetrate much deeper into the skin during needling, they can be used to treat stretch marks, deeper scars such as burn scars or very severe acne scars. A swelling of six to eight days must also be expected afterwards.
After the swelling has subsided, success is not immediately visible; the changes will only become apparent afterward visible for about three months. Because the new formation of connective tissue is controlled by the connective tissue cells (fibroblasts), and that takes some time.
In Germany, the procedure is used so successfully to treat burn scars that even the costs are covered by the health insurance company. The results, including in the treatment of pregnancy and stretch marks, are very promising. For this reason, further possible uses are currently being examined in studies, for example rejuvenation on the back of the hand and on the décolleté.
