Specialist in general surgery, head of the day clinic and endoscopy in the Rudolfinerhaus private clinic

Dr. Nada Loibner-Ott finished her medical studies at the University of Vienna in 1997 and took the examination to become a specialist doctor three years later. She then started her specialist training at the Danube Region Tulln State Hospital, where she received in-depth and broad training in general surgery as well as in the field of minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy, buttonhole surgery). A particular laparoscopic challenge is operating on overweight patients. Through many years of support at the obesity clinic and through numerous courses at home and abroad, Dr. Loibner-Ott has specialized knowledge in this area. She completed her last year of training at the Rudolfstiftung Hospital in Vienna. Dr. Nada Loibner-Ott regularly gives lectures and is co-author of several publications.

She completed her specialist examination in 2005 and worked from 2006 to 2020 as a specialist in the surgical department at the Donaustadt Clinic. By working in a specialist hospital, Dr. Loibner-Ott offers a broad surgical spectrum. In addition, she headed the special outpatient clinic for bariatric surgery and reflux disease and was the ward-managing senior physician.
Since October 2020, she has headed the day clinic, endoscopy and surgical outpatient clinic in the Rudolfinerhaus Private Clinic.

Fr. Dr. Loibner-Ott offers the entire spectrum of abdominal surgery with a focus on minimally invasive procedures (buttonhole surgery). In addition to advising and caring for obesity patients, their portfolio includes stomach and intestinal operations, diaphragmatic hernia operations and antireflux procedures, inguinal or incisional hernia operations, as well as a wide range of endoscopic treatments, such as hemorrhoid operations, polyp removal or gastric balloon implantation.

Colonoscopy (intestinal examination) is one of the most important preventive examinations that is recommended for every patient over the age of 50, even if there are no symptoms at all. If there is already a history of colon cancer in the family, this examination makes sense earlier.
The prejudices that exist against endoscopy are no longer relevant and the fear of it is present today unfounded. Gastroscopies and colonoscopies are carried out in the Rudolfinerhaus during twilight sleep (“gentle colonoscopy”). The sedation is carried out by a specialist in anesthesia and the patients do not notice anything of the actual examination.
